UK Day 1 – ATL to IRE

Today, well ..yesterday actually, starts our first international trip of the year. We left Atlanta yesterday afternoon. We were booked on a 5:20 flight but when we arrived they rushed us through check in to put us on an earlier flight to make sure we didn’t miss our connection in Newark. J and I had to run to the plane and got there about 5 minutes before they were scheduled to leave. The flight was packed and hot ad the crew was rude. Newark we very quiet and kind of creepy. We got some dinner and then boarded our flight. Andy and I were in the window and aisle seats of our row and cringed as every passenger neared our row, hoping and praying that they didn’t take the seat in between us. That is always awkward. No body likes the middle seat OR the person sitting in the middle seat. Luckily it ended up being empty which gave us some much needed room on the long flight to Dublin. The flight was pretty uneventful. No good movies or tv. Erin let me borrow her iPod for the trip so I listened to some records and read up on the manual for the new camera we got. The label overnighted it to us and we got it Thursday morning. I am really excited about it. I was getting tired on having no control over the point and shoot and was dreading only having that for the UK and Australia. We all slept the whole day after landing and are now just waking up and getting dinner. I got some room service since no one else was awake yet. Tuna met and fries. Pretty good for over here. Chris and Robert finally woke up and just headed down stairs for some food so I think I am going to head down and have a drink and hang out for a bit.
