4.03.09 Quinnipiac University

Yesterday Robert, Jonathan and I left Atlanta with the van and trailer to head to Quinnipiac,CT. Andy and Chris stayed and caught a flight this morning to make it a little easier on Andy since he is still healing from having his appendix taken out. The drive was pretty painless so we decided to drive through the night instead of stopping halfway. Robert downloaded the Sookie Stackhouse book on tape series so we all just listened to that most of the drive. Rober and I are already big fans of True Blood so it was interesting seeing the differences between the book and show.
We finally made it to Quinnipiac around 7am after getting pulled over less than 30 minutes away because we were apparently on a road that didnt allow trailers. This forced us to take an alternate route which added an hour to
The drive and stuck us right in morning traffic. Lame.
We slept until load in and then set up our gear and hung around waiting for Andy and Chris. Our TM for these two dates is Gabe and he picked them up at the airport and brought them to the show. Their flight had been delayed so they didnt make it to the show until just before doors.
College shows are always a little weird but this one went pretty smoothly. The dressing room was a nice lounge with lots of couches and they filled all of our rider which was much better than our last college show where we had to use the locker room.
The show was decent. Nothing too special. We played Where Have You Been for the first time in a while but Chris didnt play the keys which was a little weird not having the giant choir sound. Andy encored with Dont Speak by No Doubt which we all ended up joining him for. It probably sounded awful but we had fun.
Tomorrow we play at a school in Boston. Boston College I believe.I am just hoping for some decent internet access so I can get some work done before we leave the country.
Time for bed.

I saw your band at this show, since I go to the school and it was for the radio station I am a part of :) It was the first time I saw you guys in concert and I was extremely happy. Even if the getting pulled over thing sucks, blame Connecticut.
