coachella part 2
Yesterday we made the hour + drive from our hotel to the house our manager was renting to pick up andy and robert. Brian and george from weatherbox met us there and we all went to the festival grounds. It was over 100 before noon and there was no shade to set up my drums in. By the time I had it all ready my cymbals had gotten to hot to even touch. we had a pretty awesome artist trailer for the whole day. It was amazing having some place with AC to go relax. We watched Annuals set which was great. Missed the Cool Kids.by that time we had to head to our stage. Sound was great and super loud.had a pretty good crowd. I think we played pretty well. One of our new songs was a little rough but I felt good about th set overall. We spent the rest of the day just hanging out and wandering around. Did a few interviews. Watched my morning jacket. They were amazing. Absolutely amazing. The new songs sounded great. Caught a little bit of roger waters. It was cool but I was never a huge pink floyd fan so it wasn’t anything life changing for me. I really don’t remember seeing anyone else. Brian and george hung out and took us to our hotel so joe could go ahead and start driving the van back to atlanta. We are now on our way to LAX to fly back home. We have one more show in columbia, SC this week and then were are done until the very end of july. Thank god.
